‘A-‘uu-zu
Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

110. إِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ٱذْكُرْ
نِعْمَتِى عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَتِكَ إِذْ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ ٱلْقُدُسِ
تُكَلِّمُ ٱلنَّاسَ فِى ٱلْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا ۖ وَإِذْ عَلَّمْتُكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ ۖ وَإِذْ تَخْلُقُ مِنَ ٱلطِّينِ
كَهَيْـَٔةِ ٱلطَّيْرِ بِإِذْنِى فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيْرًۢا بِإِذْنِى ۖ
وَتُبْرِئُ ٱلْأَكْمَهَ وَٱلْأَبْرَصَ بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَإِذْ تُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَإِذْ كَفَفْتُ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَنكَ إِذْ جِئْتَهُم
بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ
مُّبِينٌ

110b. and how I taught Thee the Scripture and Wisdom and
the Torah and the Gospel; and how Thou didst shape of clay as it were the
likeness of a bird by My permission, and didst blow upon it and it was a bird
by My Permission, and Thou didst heal him who was born blind and the leper by
My permission; and how Thou didst raise the dead by My permission;

110b. Wa ‘iz ‘Allam-tukal-Kitaaba
wal-Hikmata wat-Tawraata wal-‘Injiil. Wa ‘iz
takhluqu minat-tiini ka-hay-‘atit-tayri bi-‘izNii
fatanfukhu fiihaa fatakuunu tayram- bi-‘izNii
wa tubri-‘ul- ‘akmahaa wal-‘abrasa bi-‘izNii.
Wa ‘iz tukhrijul-mawtaa bi-‘izNii.

Commentary
Allah Almighty addresses:
O Jesus (peace be upon Him)! Remember the time, when I bestowed unto You the
strength to understand the Scripture, informed you about the Secret Matters,
gave you Wisdom and knowledge of the Torah and the Gospel; and remember also
the incident when You used to shape the clay as it were the likeness of a bird
and blow upon it and it was a bird by My Permission, and remember it too when
You used to heal him who was born blind and the leper by My permission and used
to raise the dead by My permission.
Following four peculiarities of
Jesus Christ (peace be upon Him) have been described in this verse, which are
called special miracles of Jesus (peace be upon Him):
1. He (peace be upon Him) used to shape of clay as it were the
likeness of a bird, blow upon it and it was a bird living and flying.
2. Used to heal him who was born blind and that was able to see
everything.
3. Used to treat the leper.
4. Used to say the dead body, “Get up by the permission
of Allah” (Qum bi- ‘izNillaah) and that was living.
Mention concerning the
Messenger Jesus (peace be upon Him) has passed in Suratul Baqarah (Third
Part) and then in fifth and sixth Section of Surah ‘Aale ‘Imraan.
Here, all described matters have been collected at one place, for the purpose,
by meditating, birth and miracles of Jesus Christ (peace be upon Him) are
cleared.
