Commentary

We learnt in the verse before this: Holy Qur’aan is a Revelation of the Revelations of Allah Almighty. Main difference between other Revelations and the Holy Qur’aan is that, other all Revelations tell nothing in words about themselves. It depends upon the person, who recites Them that, what he understands. But Holy Qur’aan is such a Holy Word of Allah Almighty, which explains Itself clearly everything about Itself. Moreover, It is the tongue of the world’s entire tongue-less Tokens of Allah Almighty. It narrates about them and causes to draw attention not only towards them, which are present, but also towards those Revelations, which have elapsed previously and the people have forgotten them.

The aim of discussion about it is that the people of the present era should know completely Allah Almighty and His Divine Power. It has been commanded in this verse that the people should think about the time, which was over before them. Many other nations used to live in this world before us. Allah Almighty bestowed upon them too much powers and strength, which are not found in the existing people. He caused to rain for them timely and constantly, and made them owners of the land’s production along with other Divine Favors.

Truly, the Holy Qur’aan is very strong source to know Allah Almighty, as it is compulsory to know Him. No doubt, any of the wise man can get knowledge of Allah Almighty through meditation in everything of the world but it cannot be expected that everyone will meditate too much. Only the Holy Qur’aan is such a Revelation, which does not remit any excuse for the human being to remain ignorant from Allah Almighty. First of all, Its own existence of a peculiar form in the world (being in its original form with effect from its Revelation) is a Token like other tokens. Secondly, It explains everything regarding Itself in Its own Words. Then, the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is existing, Who conveyed and caused to understand It. Even now, if anybody does not know Allah Almighty and His Divine Power, then more sorrow and wonder will be considered as very less upon his condition.

Disclosing the Reality - Quran Chapter 6 – 5 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-772) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 6 – 5 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-772) - درس قرآن

Disclosing the Reality

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

5.  And they denied the Truth when it came unto them. But there will come unto them the tidings of that which they used to deride.
5.  Faqad kazza-buu  bil-Haqqi  lammaa  jaaa-‘ahum.  Fa-sawfa  ya’-tiihim  ‘ambaaa-‘u  maa  kaanuu  bihii  yas-tahzi-‘uun.

Commentary

It was described in the previous verses that these indolent persons turn away from the Revelation which comes before them and do not have any regard for it, though, if they meditate in it and try to understand, then it can be understood easily by them that the Creator of this entire world and the other world beyond from it, is only One, Allah Almighty. He is the Owner of the entire creatures and everywhere His name is Allah (Almighty), which means “The True Worshipped”.

It is commanded in this verse that in reality, the wise person shall believe in Allah Almighty certainly by thinking about the incidents, which happen in the heavens and in the earth, but it is possible that either he may not find the time to look at them closely due to carelessness or the time is available but he remains busy in playing and does not intend to know the reality. Even then, such a strong token has come unto them, which can neither be denied, nor there is any accommodation of doubt to reject it, because along with that token, a Warner (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) has also come. And it is His duty to cause to engage the attention of the people to this side, and teach them that particular Token. That Token is Holy Qur’aan and bearer of that Token is Last Messenger of Allah Almighty, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). Every verse of the Holy Qur’aan witnesses that Allah Almighty is A True God Almighty, and manifests the Truth and the Reality. Then, the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is present to teach about it. After all, there is no excuse to turn away from the biggest Sign i.e. Holy Qur’aan, which exists in its original form. If anyone turns away then, there cannot be any other reason of turning away from it, but the perverseness.

After that, those people have been threatened from the severe punishments, who do not believe in it. It is commanded that those people denied a True Scripture due to stubbornness. But they should bear in mind that the Doomsday is not too much away from them, when they would have to face a very distressed punishment for their evil deeds and disbelief. Surely, every Command of this Scripture shall be accomplished, and they shall weep on their denial from the Truth and enjoy the taste of their arrogance.

The tidings of two kinds of punishment have been explained in the Holy Qur’aan for its disbelievers; the worldly punishment as well as the punishment on the Day of Resurrection. It has been proclaimed so clearly for the certainty of both kinds of punishments that there was no difficulty for the wise people in understanding it. But the infidels did not believe. Later on, they suffered in the world for which they were warned. So everyone should be certain that the punishment of the Day of Resurrection is beyond the question too.

Good Virtues of Allah

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

3.  He is Allah in the heavens and in the earth. He knoweth both your secret and your utterance, and He knoweth what ye earn.

4.  Never comes there unto them a Revelation of the Revelations of Allah but they turn away from it.
3.  Wa  HuWAllaahu  fis-samaa-waati  wa  fil-‘arz.  Ya’-lamu  sirrakum  wa  jahrakum  wa  Ya’-lamu  maa  taksibuun.

4.  Wa  maa  ta’-tiihim-min  ‘Aayatim-min  ‘Aayaati  Rabbihim  ‘illaa  kaanuu  ‘anhaa  mu’-riziin.

Commentary

It was explained in the previous verses that Praise be to Allah Almighty (the entire excellence are only of God Almighty)If any excellence, beauty or quality is seen anywhere and in anything, that is not personal of that individual or thing. But that is a refulgence of any Virtue of Allah Almighty. The earth, the entire skies and even everything, which exists into them, those all have been created also by Allah Almighty. Some of them are appointed as good for you and some of them are bad for you. Allah Almighty is the Creator of the humankind too and He has fixed a time of their life. Then the human being departs.

The mankind should understand from it that the length of time for existence of the entire world has been determined also. Then, it will be ruined. After that, the aim is to cause to understand the mankind that the human beings will be brought to life again and an account of their deeds, which were done by them in the world, will be reckoned from him. So it has been described after telling the Divine Power of Allah Almighty and His overcoming upon the entire that humankind cannot reject the decision of Allah Almighty.

It is commanded that Allah Almighty is Existing everywhere in the heavens and in the earth, and there Is only His Sovereignty everywhere also. He knows your secret and utterance, whether those are very little, and He knows also that, what you do. He has spread His Signs in the entire world and has revealed his Holy Word, which is the biggest token. The person, who will reason and think upon these verses, certainly will understand His Divine Power and Strength. Then what is wrong with those people, who turn away from such tokens, which either they observe in the form of Signs of the Divinity of Allah Almighty or recite in the verses of Holly Qur’aan, and do not understand a little its meanings? If the human beings think, they may know that the only purpose of their creation is that they should know Allah Almighty and worship only Him.

Creation of the mankind - Quran Chapter 6 – 2 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-770) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 6 – 2 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-770) - درس قرآن

Creation of the mankind

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

2.  He it is Who hath created you from clay, and hath decreed a term for you. And a term is fixed with Him. Yet still ye doubt!
2.  Huwallazii  khalaqa-kum-min-tiinin-  summa  qazaaa  ‘aja-laa.  Wa  ‘Ajalum-Musam-man  ‘indaHuu  summa  ‘antum  tamtaruun.

Commentary

Tamtaruun – (you doubt), this word is from ‘amtaraa’, which has been derived from mir-yatun (doubt). ‘Amtaraa’ means ‘to doubt’.

It has been told in the previous verse that the Creator of the entire world is Allah Almighty, and there is none able to create anything with one’s own power.

According to this verse, He, the same Allah Almighty is, Who has created the humankind. If the human beings think about their own creation and condition, they can understand easily about the creation and form of the world.

It is commanded: Allah Almighty has created you from clay, and has decreed a term and determined a time of your life and dwelling in this world. You should understand from it that a fixed period has been prescribed to preserve the world also. As your own age ends first or last, in the same manner, sometime or other, the age of the entire world will end too and the Doomsday will have to come.

The intention to cause to understand is that, the universe has been created in accord with a plan and confirmed map. Nobody has ability either to change or damage it. The human being should meditate upon himself to understand it that the one is created from the clay. A particular period has been fixed for keeping him in to existence in the present form. He will die after the specified time. As there is none partner of Allah Almighty in the creation and death of the human being, like this, the entire world has been created by only That One Sole Commander (Allah Almighty). Neither there is His any partner in its creation, nor its establishment and nor anyone can participate in its destruction. Islam desires to set this conception about Allah Almighty in the heart of mankind. And the settlement of all the Islamic commands and system depend on it.

The state of humankind’s creation has already been explained in the lessons of Surah ‘Al-Maaa’-‘idah, in the description of Messenger Jesus (peace be upon Him). It has been enhanced here that the human being will be finished as well as, the entire world will be destroyed sometime or other and the Day of Resurrection will have to come. There is no reason of either humankind’s doubt in it or ascribing any partner of Allah Almighty in the system (establishment) of the world.

1.  Praise be to Allah, Who hath created the heavens and the earth, and hath appointed darkness and light. Yet those who disbelieve ascribe rivals unto their Lord.
1.  ‘Alhamdu  LIllaahillazii  khala-qas-Samaawaati  wal-‘arza  wa  ja-‘alaz-zulumaati  wan-Nuur.  Summal-laziina  kafaruu  bi-Rabbihim  ya’-diluun.

Commentary

‘As-Samaawaat – (the skies, the heavens), it is plural of Samaaa’. The thing, which is above from our head, is called Samaaa’, and since there are many things above from our heads, which are visible, when we see up, so, the plural tense has been used for all.

‘Az-zulumaat – it is plural of zulmat, which means ‘the darkness’ – either darkness of the night or day or both.

‘An-Nuur – (the light), it aims ‘the day time’. Those all things have been included in the darkness and the light besides the night and the day, which are opposite to each other, for example: Bad and good, ignorance and knowledge, depravity and guidance etc.

Ya’-diluun – it is from ‘Adal‘Adal means equality and rivalry, to assimilate or settle two things mutually themselves.

That actual matter has been described excellently in this verse, which Islam desires to teach the human being. That is to say; the Creator of the entire world and its all things, is only One, Allah Almighty, because He is the Person, Who has complete Divine Power, all the virtues and excellence. Other than Him, you can observe and find one or the other fault even anyone else, and that will be needy of any other for existence.

It is commanded that the heavens and the earth were created by Allah Almighty. Those entire creatures have come in these both things, which are found among them i.e. He is the Creator of all those creatures also. After that, He appointed some of those things good and useful, and some harmful and bad. As though, He desires to cause the mankind to understand that all the things including mankind are equal in terms of birth. Nothing is wrong with them.

Then, after that, Allah Almighty appointed some things/creatures good and useful for the other some creatures; and some things harmful and bad for the some other people/creatures and vice versa. The fire-worshippers have also been abrogated as well as the idolaters from it because the good and the bad have no interference/ connection in the birth.

After that, it has been described that the entire world is witness that there is none its Creator except Allah Almighty. Even then the disbelievers ascribe other things as partners and rivals of Allah Almighty.

Quran Chapter 6 – Intro (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-768) - درس قرآن

Summary of Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

‘An-‘aam is plural of Na-‘am. Na-‘am means an animal. Allah Almighty has made the animals and the cattle, servants of the mankind, but some people make some of them unlawful at their own. This Chapter explains about those cattle and animals. In this connection, the word ‘An-‘aam has been used many times in this chapter, so this Surah was named as Suratul-‘An-‘aam.

This Chapter was revealed at a time completely in Makkah except a few verses, which were revealed probably in Madinah. The time of its revelation is one year Before Hijrah and actually its teachings are about the Oneness of God Almighty and rejection of all false fancies, in which more than One God are believed in, and the people bow before other things respectfully except Allah Almighty and worship them, and have faith into them such qualities and virtues, which are specified only for Allah Almighty.

Before the revelation of Holy Qur’aan in the world, no anything would have been left possibly, which was not worshipped. It was common to make partners of Allah Almighty by including others and believing His excellence and virtues into them also. The Fire-worshippers and Magi used to say: The God, who created good things of the world, is another person, and who created bad things, is someone else. They used to say the good things as ‘the Dawn” i.e. Noor (Light), but the bad things were called by them “the Darkness” i.e. Zulmat. They were convinced of these two gods. The Indians used to believe in three hundred and thirty million demi-gods. Every demi-god was appointed for any separate function. The Arian society strived and decreased them, but even then, they fixed ‘the matter and the soul’ eternal, immortal like God, and firm and non-creature. The Idolaters of the Arab used to believe that the trees and stones etc. were partners and helpers also in the Divinity of Allah Almighty.

The Jews determined the virtues of Allah Almighty so much common that everyone can be either equal to Him, or superior to Him. Besides this, they worshipped the calf. The Christians fixed the father, the son and the Holy Spirit – equal partners in the Divinity. In short, it was very difficult to find any convinced person of One God (Allah Almighty). Those all faiths have been determined false and set at naught in this Surah. And it is taught that there is no partner of Allah Almighty, as He is Single in His Kind, in the same way, His virtues are odd too from all others. Only He is, Who has created the entire things with His Own Omnipotence, and until He will desire, will keep them up. And whenever, He will wish, will finish them. Security, safety and establishment of the world are only in His hand. He has prescribed different and separate Laws of life for every kind of His creature. He is also the Creator of the humankind and for the guidance of human beings, He has sent Messengers and Prophets (peace be upon Them), out of which, there is recital about many Messengers (peace be upon Him) in this Chapter.

Topic of the Table Spread -2 - Quran Chapter 5 – 119 & 120 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-767) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 5 – 119 & 120 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-767) - درس قرآن

Topic of the Table Spread -2

Surah MAAA-‘IDAH (The Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

Every command, which exists in Holy Qur’aan, that is for the entire nation (including the Jews, the Christians or the Idolaters etc.). A thing, which needs special attention of every human being in the world, is, that all of them, who were born during the worldly life of the Last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allah Almighty be upon Him) and will born until the last Day of this world (the Day of Resurrection), are included in the nation of Last Messenger, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) without any distinction of tribe, color, race or religion.

So, the commands, mentioned in the Holy Qur’aan are usually in plural tense, but wherever, singular tense has been used into them, there, the Messenger of Allah Almighty has been addressed (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allah Almighty be upon Him) personally, Who represents entire people of His nation. It is known from this discussion that the pride of every individual is hidden in the pride of the nation (society), and it is responsibility of the society to look after every person one by one. That is to say; nobody can do such a work, which harms the society, or due to which, the society is confused i.e. rebellion, refractoriness, theft or obstinacy etc. These all acts are the crimes, which upset the society. So punishment of these sins is very severe, as it has been described in this Chapter. And it is an injunction for society that after proving the crime, the criminal should not be remitted any more.

The society is hurt always due to evil-deeds of the people. The form of it is that either an individual or some persons mutually hold the law in their own hands and try to press others, and the Messenger (peace be upon Him) and His Scripture (Torah, Gospel, Quran) are thrown behind and they desire to issue their own command. Its reason is that, at first the society gets out of order due to immoralities of the rich people, and it (the society) cannot watch its own all individuals, and has not power to punish the evildoers. After that, the individuals take time by the forelock to play their games openly and commit as they wish. It was done in this way by the Jews and the Christians, so after telling their condition, it has been described that the Muslims should be saved from like their evil deeds.

Corruption of the society is root cause of the mankind’s destruction and principally it is spoiled always by the wicked deeds of the wealthy people. Everyone will be asked about it on the Day of Resurrection, and every Messenger (peace be upon Him) will be asked at first because He is the greatest Watching of the society in the world, “Did you not establish the society upon the correct principles?” It is the meaning of asking from Jesus (peace be upon Him) that those mischievous people be punished effectively, who had confused the society, after proving His (peace be upon Him) innocence.

This question will be asked from Jesus (peace be upon Him) particularly because His nation is the most criminal in the corruption of the human society. As though, the question from Jesus (peace be upon Him) is preface of His nation’s punishment. The Jews are also criminal because they tried their best not to establish the human society in accord with the instructions by Jesus (peace be upon Him) and they left no stone unturned to trouble Him (peace be upon Him).

Then, it is the crime of those both nations that they rejected the Last and Final Law i.e. Holy Qur’aan, according to which, the human society was required to be established, and they continued their devastating activities. The Muslims should take warning from their circumstances, and as the Jews and the Christians (both) disappointed their Messengers (peace be upon Them), following them, the Muslims should not hurt their and Allah’s Last and Beloved Messenger, Muhammad, (Who is Mercy for the entire worlds (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him).
