Commentary

It has been being described in the previous verses that the humankind casts behind the Commands of Allah Almighty by indulging in embarrassment of his own desires. He/she does never think: I would have to get the retribution in the life after death for those deeds, which I have been doing in this world, and I would have to be set before Allah Almighty and answer His questions. And it will never be possible; either to cheat Him or try to be saved from His punishment by providing any false statement before Him. An abstract to this effect has been given in the verse of today’s lesson, and complete reality of the life of this world has been described briefly.

It is commanded that the life of the world is Naught but only a pastime and a sport. Every person who has sense whether only a little, can understand easily that any sport is the name of amusement for a short time. It is impossible to play every time. Everyone should understand properly that this world is an accidental thing for a few days. Neither any person could live in it forever, and nor can stay.

That person, who has been involved in only worldly works and passes his/her entire time for thinking about worldly benefits only, is like him, who wastes his whole time in a sport. Any wise person cannot say him “a sensible, laborious or active person”. And then it is also sure that any time he/she is weary of playing. Such a condition is of that person, who has been entangled in the world. Many desires grow in his heart. He runs behind all of them and wishes to keep his pleasure stable. But after some time either he is tired of it or after fulfillment of the desire his heart is disgusted and he feels ashamed on his deed. Even he reaches, at last, such stage that his strength becomes disabling. Being wearied he lies down and does not remain able to fulfill his wishes. He uses to long for fulfilling his desires, but his physical and mental strength and power do not cooperate with him.

Contrary to above, neither will he feel ever tired of fulfilling the desires, which will be for the life of the Last Day, nor his power and strength will end, nor any weakness, illness, grief, sorrow, confusion and nor will death-like anything be the next. That life can be acquired only in this way that the person should fear Allah Almighty, which means that “having fear of His punishment, every forbidden thing and deed should be given up in the world”. And better far is the abode of the Hereafter for those who keep their duty to Allah Almighty. Have you then no sense that you would have to choose the perpetual thing by leaving any casual thing?

Commentary

Allah Allah – how the Holy Qur’aan causes to understand us much obviously that: You should live in the world like humankind. “See! You are not animals. You have a good sense, knowledge and better power of understanding than others. Is it useful to make efforts only like animals but with a little civilized manner, having this understanding, knowledge and sense, while you are created as human beings? As though, it is the only difference among animals and human beings that the animals fulfill their desires awkwardly and they do not make any improvement in the way of fulfilling their wishes. but on the other hand, the mankind finds new ways by searching day by day to fulfill one’s bodily desires and improves constantly, whereas, it should be the job of mankind’s sense that he should not be the slave of his desires. Moreover, he should know own Creator and subject his desires to His Commands.

The Holy Qur’aan causes to learn the same that the human being would have to bring his sense in use for knowing Allah Almighty (The Creator), considering His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) as one’s own Guide and acting upon the commands of Holy Qur’aan. And bear in mind always that everyone would be set before Allah Almighty after death on the Day of Resurrection. And whatsoever, he has done in the world; he would have to clear his accounts of all worldly deeds, whether those are good or bad. The humankind will not get rid of his deeds without clearing them and he will be punished very severely as retribution of his wicked acts.

It is commanded that the person, who does not believe during whole life in it that he will be set before Allah Almighty on the Day of Judgment, evil days will fall upon him completely. The Doomsday shall come; certainly the Day of Resurrection shall come. Those people who neglected it and the Judgment Day reached and overpowered them suddenly, and then they will have nothing but regret, sorrow and repentance.

At that time, they will be wonder-struck and will say: Alas for us, that we neglected it and we did not get ready for this Day! They will be in such condition that the wicked deeds, which they committed in the world and how much they enjoyed to revel by putting the Holy Qur’aan behind their back, they will have been bearing upon their backs; the load of their all evil deeds. Neither they will be able to drop and put a side, and nor throw that burden. On that Day; they will know: How much weighty and heart-breaking is that burden of evil deeds. It will be better for them, if they understand well this matter today.

Do not forget the Day of Resurrection - Quran Chapter 6 – 29 & 30 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-799) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 6 – 29 & 30 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-799) - درس قرآن

Do not forget the Day of Resurrection

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

Summary of both verses discussed in the previous lesson is, “Don’t forget the Day of Resurrection (Rising Again after death) by indulging in romances and fables of the world, and believe in the Unseen Judgment Day and the concealed Hell, otherwise it will not be useful for you if you believed after observing them. And the retribution for infidelity and denial in the world will be very severe punishment on the Doomsday.

It is the universal law, according to which, Islam desires to teach the Humankind to dwell in the world. Without understanding it properly, it is impossible to pass the time of this worldly life well efficiently. How much this rule will be cleared and manifested and kept in mind, so much the human being will really be matured, otherwise living a successful life in the Hereafter is not possible.

The mankind wishes to fulfill his all desires without any hindrance. But if he considers that he will be able to fulfill his desires with the help of material things, then it is his false notion, because one of his wishes can never be fulfilled in the world, which is “To live always”. Neither has anyone remained living in the world forever and nor can live. The open consequence comes out from it that the entire things of the world, like wealth and property, power and honor, laughter and jest, pleasure and delight will be kept back, and at last, the human being will begin his next journey, (giving up everything here) which will start after death.

Holy Qur’aan describes that the hearty object of the human being “That should be fulfilled, what I wish”, will be fulfilled but after death and on the condition that he was not slave of his desires in the world. Moreover, he/she should dwell in the world in accord with the Commands of Allah Almighty and believe in it that “If I shall follow the Commands of Allah Almighty and the Sayings of His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), instead of following my own desires, then after death, my all desires will be fulfilled in the Gardens (Paradise). And I shall be given such a life, which will never be expire-able.

This is the lesson which has made the people to understand in Holy Qur’aan again and again. Such people have been censured in the verses under reference (29 & 30), who say: There is naught save our life of the world, and we shall not be raised (again). Those people have been engaged to fulfill their desires. It has been explained here that this thought is the root of destruction as well as it is against the sense because, while every human being desires naturally that “My all wishes should be fulfilled” and those cannot be fulfilled in this world, then he must be provided opportunity to fulfill his natural desire, otherwise his humanity will not be perfect.

Islam teaches that after death his desires will be fulfilled but not of all. Moreover, only that person’s desires will be fulfilled, who does not want to complete his all wishes here, and acts upon those commandments, which Holy Qur’aan taught him/her. And he/she does not go near those deeds, which have been prevented by the Holy Qur’aan and Sunnah. Such person will live a best life forever after death, and his/her every desire will be fulfilled without any further labor and hard work. Collection of that gain is called “Paradise”, that is to say; fulfillment of every desire.

Commentary

It is commanded that their vision does not rise above the unreal things relating to matter in the world. So they are pleased in the deliberation of these things. They do not acknowledge that they will be reproduced after death and a new life will be commenced, after which they will never die.

They can never think to give up the worldly benefits, pleasures and ease of the world for the purpose that, doing so, they will be able to get much, more rest, advantages and delights after death. Their eyes will be opened at that time, when they will be set before their Creator and Lord.

Then they will be asked: Tell! Did you observe some real today? At that time, it will come out of their mouth without any hesitation: Yea, verily, by our Lord! It is quite true. Allah Almighty will command: You could not accept it that I was speaking the truth (in Holy Qur’aan) and you did not obey My Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). So, taste the punishment now, the retribution of that you used to disbelieve.

It has been described here that near to them, there is naught save this life of the world only. They have fully faith that they can never be raised again. Their condition will be visible at that time, when they will be produced before their Lord Almighty and He will ask Himself from them: Say! Was that True or False, which was told you?

They will say: By our Lord! Verily, that entire was true. Allah Almighty will cause to hear His Command after that: You used to consider a useless and self-fabricated matter regarding reproducing after death, whereas Our Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) had described you very clearly: See! If you will not believe in reproducing after death, then tomorrow (on the Day of resurrection), you will be beaten black and blue (punished very severely). Now; while you have seen everything with your open eyes, then you say that “it was real”. Taste the punishment now, you deserved as the retribution for that; you used to disbelieve in the world.

Quran Chapter 6 – 28 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-797) - درس قرآن

Wrongdoers will do wrong again

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

28.  Nay, but that hath become clear unto them which before they used to hide. And if they were sent back they would return unto that which they are forbidden; and lo! they are liars.
28.  Bal  badaa  lahum-maa  kaanuu  yukh-fuuna  min-qabl.  Wa  law  rudduu  la-‘aaduu  limaa  nuhuu  ‘anhu  wa  ‘innahum  la-kaazibuun.

Commentary

It was described in the previous lesson that when idolaters, infidels and disobedient people will be set before the Fire, their faces will turn pale with fear and they will wish to be returned again in the world, so that they may become and show themselves as believers and obedient servants of Allah Almighty.

Their desires and treaties (of the Day of Resurrection) have been found out in this talk that there is no truth in it. Actually, the matters, which were not acceptable to them in the worldly life and they used to think the plans to hide and press them, have come today (on the Doomsday) openly before them.

And from which doom, pain and calamity they were used to frighten, that they have opportunity during their worldly life to make arrangement for being saved from that disaster, at last, indeed, has come before them today (on the Judgment Day).

Now they have seen the hidden secrets with their open eyes, so they are saying such words only to be saved from it. Moreover, if they are returned again in the world and this punishment is removed from them, then certainly, they will do the same again un-thoughtfully, which they used to do earlier during their first life.

Hence that they are convinced of it: Believe in that, which is in front of the eyesight, don’t care that, which is hidden. This thought has settled down in their hearts and they have become habituated to do in accordance with it only. Therefore, as soon as they will come back in the world, they will be ensnared in its cheer and will begin to act as they used to do in their first life.

It is commanded that it has no any truth which these people are making up stories at this time. The actual subject is that they are in worst condition due to the fear. It is the reason that they are saying as such to save themselves, otherwise, they are still hard-hearted. And if they were sent back again in the world, even then they would return unto that which they are forbidden.

The calamity will be very painful on the Day of Resurrection. At first, it will be said to the idolaters: Call your gods for giving you deliverance from this calamity. In reply, they will say: We were never idolaters. We used to worship Allah (Almighty), but their telling such a lie will not be acceptable.

Then at that time, when they will reach the Door of the Hell, and they will see all hidden things in front, then they will say there: Would that we might be returned! Then would we not deny the Revelations of our Lord but we would be of the believers. But they tell a lie in this matter too.

Horrible scene of the Hell

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

27.  If thou couldst but see when they will be set before the Fire and say: Oh, would that we might return! Then would we not deny the Revelations of our Lord but we would be of the believers!
27.  Wa  law  taraaa  ‘iz  wuqifuu  ‘alan-Naari  faqaaluu  yaa-laytanaa  nuraddu  wa  laa  nukazziba  bi-‘Aayaati  Rabbinaa  wa  nakuuna  minal-Mu’-miniin.

Commentary

In this verse, it has been told about those people whose condition was described in the previous lesson, that one Day (on the Doomsday) they will be brought upon the Fire of Hell. They will lose their sense when they will observe Its rapidity, heat and severity. The words, which they are saying today, “Allah is nothing (Let’s flee to Allah Almighty), we gain our end by the support of these worldly things, which are more powerful. We should be thankful to these things”.

“They will forget everything and will have faith that this Fire of Hell is punishment of their wrong deeds, which in the world, they had considered as good deeds. And un-spontaneous, these words will come out from their mouths, would that we might be returned in the world, then would we have never denied the Revelations of our Lord but we would have been of the believers”.

It is commanded: O Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him): If You observe that furious scene, on the Day of Resurrection, when they will cause to stand on the Fire and due to fear they will be about to die, then You (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) will be surprised that they are the people, who had become Namrud, Pharaoh, hāmānQarunShaddad  and so on in the world. Today (on the Judgment Day), while the entire commands of Holy Qur’aan are being faced by them, then they have been confounded and said, “Oh, would that we might return in the world! Then we would be of the believers”.

Holy Qur’aan has frightened the disobedient people from the Hell and commanded: That is a heap of Fire, in which those people will be cast who do not give any importance to the commands of Holy Qur’aan and Sayings of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), but they try to find errors in it and depend solely on their own will and discretion.

Nowadays, it is the behavior of maximum people that they have been earnestly diligent in fulfilling their own desires and if they are terrified from the Fire of Hell, they say: All of these are self-fabricated words, the Hell has no reality. They should have to know that the reality will appear immediately after death.

Quran Chapter 6 – 25b & 26 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-795) - درس قرآن

Current condition

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

Such people have born among the Muslims in abundance nowadays, who do not care the Holy Qur’aan entirely and Its Commandments. Those people are less in numbers, who seek the solution of current problems in Holy Qur’aan. Moreover, in fact, the Holy Qur’aan has been locked up in the cabinets of some Religious Academies and Masaajid, and it seems that the people have decided at their own that It cannot guide them in the present times. So they think, “We do not argue with Its meanings. We can find the solutions of our current problems only in the present developed nations”. The thoughts of this kind are spreading around openly that either Holy Qur’aan should command exactly in the same way as the Europeans are saying, otherwise,  (let’s flee to Allah), It is an old Book and definitely not applicable nowadays. Some people are engaged in this effort, by observing that the name of Holy Qur’aan should remain somewhere or other, “they would prove by distorting the words of Holy Qur’aan as supportive behaviors of today’s contractors of civilization”.

They think, “If we will not say as the European people say and imitate them not exactly as they are, then we shall be living of nowhere, and shall be removed from the world. Therefore, not only in the politics, but they want to be the same like in their living style as well as in the society also. These people desire to prevent from Holy Qur’aan by their deeds and life style, and as they say with their tongue usually that It is an absurd Book (let’s flee to Allah), so, it is useless to draw attention today towards It. Just like this, they are going far away from Its teachings in their behavior.

Holy Qur’aan says: Wa  hum  yan-hawna  ‘anhu  wa  yan-‘awna  ‘anh. {And they forbid (men) from it and avoid it}. Does this command of Holy Qur’aan not fit exactly according to their behaviors and thoughts? Apparently we people praise Islam and Holy Qur’aan but either begin to quarrel with that one, who tells us its correct meanings or treat it extremely inattentive. Is this not the same situation as it was of the people of Makkah (the idolaters) that, when they used to come to the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), come for quarreling and when they used to leave that place, then say: They have only useless old fables. We think that we are gaining our end with the European weapons and machines, and our reputation has been established by their help. Is it not waste of time (let’s flee to Allah), if we leave this certain present advantage and meditate in old and hereinafter Words of Holy Qur’aan? They are the people of old ideas and conservative (true Muslims), who reflect in these matters.

Is the wine not drunk openly in our country? Are the weak not robbed? Have we not settled our only and biggest object to increase our deposits, wealth and property? Are the theft, fornication, killing and rascality not customary here? Are we not publicizing the sources for spreading the adultery and sinfulness? Are we not choking the neck of humanity by giving the name of art to the dance, music, songs, nudity and nude photography on all kinds of media, which inflates the bestial desires? If all of this is happening then what is there to save us from the destruction?
