Commentary

Some more portents have been described in this verse. The human being can know Allah Almighty by thinking deeply into them. Humankind has been accustomed to eat fruit, vegetables and grains etc. grown from the earth but thinks never: How these things were grown and Who created them?

It has been mentioned in this verse that there is no human intervention in the processing period with effect from sowing the seed until ripening the harvest and bearing the fruit. So, the mankind should think: Who does it entire? Allah Almighty sends down the rain, due to which the seed and the sapling takes root in the earth and collects into itself necessary things from its surroundings. Then lush green fields begin to bloom. The plants and trees of the grapes, the olive and the pomegranate become productive and fruitful. Bunches grow in the date trees and then we see the dates everywhere up and down. Sometimes these uncountable fruit have same color, shape and taste but sometimes are different from one another. This all is done by Allah only. You cannot interfere in it.

Commentary

Musta-qarrun – (a habitation), it is an adverb, which has come out from the word ‘istaqraar. Its origin is qaraarQaraar means “rest, fixedness, firmness”. ‘istaqraar means “to stay”. Mustaqar means “place of staying”.

Mustaw-da-‘un – (the place where the trust is deposited), it is also an adverb and it has been derived from the word ‘istii-daa-‘un, which has come out from the word wadii-‘at. Wadii-‘at means “a thing; which has been deposited as a trust”. ‘Istii-daa-‘un means “to keep a thing as a trust.

Allah Almighty commands: The stars, which you look at night, have been set by Him. Those are useful for you to evaluate about the correct way in the jungle and desert, where nothing exists except barren field, and in the sea, where nothing can be seen but only water. The observers of the stars become able to know the direction of their destination. Allah Almighty explains the means of His Revelation and the way; how to seek Him, for those, who desire to know Him. It is not too much difficult to know Allah Almighty, if the people reflect into them.

Now you should think: Who did create you? How were you born and where will you go? Behold! You entire were created by Allah Almighty and you all are children of one man i.e. Adam (peace be upon Him). You were born in such a manner that at first you were kept in the womb of mother like a trust. You were expanded there gradually. After maturity, you came in the world. You stayed here for some specified period. Then you have to join your grave, where you will remain until God Almighty desires.

These entire places are ordinary. You will stay in the Paradise or the Hell after coming out from the grave. Anyone place from those will be your permanent dwelling station. Allah Almighty has manifested and disclosed clearly these all tokens for those who think and want to know.

95.  Lo! Allah (it is) Who splitteth the grain of corn and the date-stone (for sprouting). He bringeth forth the living from the dead, and is the Bringer-forth of the dead from the living. Such is Allah, how then are ye perverted?

96.  He is the Cleaver of the Daybreak, and He hath appointed the night for rest, and the sun and the moon for reckoning. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Wise.
95.  ‘InnAllaaha  faali-qul-habbi  wan-nawaa.  Yukh-rijul-hayya  minal-mayyiti  wa  Mukh-rijul-mayyiti  minal-hayy.  Zaaliku-MUllaahu  fa-‘annaa  tu’-fakuun.

96.  Faaliqul-‘isbaah.  Wa  ja-‘alallayla  sakananw-wash-shamsa  wal-qamara  hus-baanaa.  Zaalika  taq-diirul-‘Aziizil-‘Aliim.famusta-qarrunw-wa  mustaw-da’.  Qad  fassalNal-‘Aayaati  li-qawminy-yaf-qahuun.

Commentary

Faaliqun – (The Cleaver), it is the Subject from the word falaqa, which means “to cleave any thing and bring forth a new thing from it”. In these verses, this word has been used at two places. At first place, it means “to split the grain of corn and the date-stone (for sprouting), from which a sapling and a tree comes out. At the second place, it means “to cleave the darkness of the night and bring forth the dawn from it”.

Sakana – it is the thing, by staying in or near which, one gets all sorts of comfort. This word has come out from sakuun. Sakuun means “to stay or settlement”.

Hus-baan – (for reckoning), it aims that the movement of the sun and the moon has been fixed in such a way that by them we compute the time.

It was described in the previous Section that the people, who do not accept the Noble Qur’an as the Book of Allah Almighty, they have not known God Almighty as it was necessary to be known. They do not know: How the Greatest is His Omnipotence? He has created the entire world and established a system for it.

It was compulsory in accordance with the arrangements that Holy Qur’an was to be sent down for Guidance of the human beings towards the Straight Path and That should be brought by His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). Then characteristics of the Holy Qur’an have been described. After that, the Remarkable Wonders of the Divine Power of Allah Almighty have been mentioned for making the people to understand, so that they may know His Omnipotence Who has established the arrangement of the world, and get rid of this misunderstanding that there is nothing in this system for the guidance of human being.

It is commanded: Behold the Nature of God Almighty. If the grain of corn is sown in the earth, that is cracked and a sapling of the grain comes out from that seed of the grain. The date-stone is cleaved, high and heavy trees grow from it. The dead (egg) comes-forth from the living and the living comes out from the egg. This entire is done by Allah Almighty. Sometimes we see and hear that a child is born from the dead woman and on the contrary to it.

Like this, God Almighty cleaves the darkness of the night, causes to appear from it the daybreak. The sun and the moon revolve with measure and the time is reckoned by them in the world. How do you err in knowing God Almighty, while you see all of these with your open eyes? These things explain every matter clearly that a Mighty, a Wise, a Powerful and Omnipotent has created them measuring correctly.

Quran Chapter 6 – 94 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-852) - درس قرآن

Mankind will be alone at the time of death

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

94.  Now have ye come unto Us solitary as We did create you at the first, and ye have left behind you all that We bestowed upon you, and We behold not with you those your intercessors, of whom ye claimed that they possessed a share in you. Now is the bond between you severed, and that which ye presumed hath failed you.
94.  Wa laqad  ji’-tu-muuNaa  furaadaa  kamaa  khalaqNaakum  ‘awwala  marratin-  wa  taraktum-maa  khawwalNaakum  waraaa-‘a  zuhuurikum.  Wa  maa  Naraa  ma-‘akum  shufa-‘aaa-‘akumul-laziina  za-‘amtum  ‘annahum  fiikum  shura-kaaa’.  Laqatta-qatta-‘a  bay-nakum  wa  zalla  ‘ankum-maa  kuntum  taz-‘umuun.

Commentary

Furaadaa – (one by one, solitary), this word has been derived from “Fard”. In Arabic language, it has the same meaning which we expose in our own language from the word “fardan fardan” (one by one).

KhawwalNaa – (We bestowed), it is past tense, origin of which is “Takhwiil” – derived from the word “Khawul”, which means “an inferior servant, an attendant, equipment of comfort for the rich”. Takhwiil means “to provide the equipment of ease and comfort for better living”.

Za-‘amtum – (you used to presume, you claimed), it is a past tense, which has been derived from za-‘am, it means “to presume, to claim, to think or say something wrong”.

It was commanded earlier that when any human being is entangled in his rank and dignity, he considers, “None is equal to me. I have all powers. My command is executed. My servants work according to my desires. The goods of pleasure exist”. It is called pride and haughtiness. If anyone says to the proud and haughty person, “The commands regarding the prayer, the fasting, paying the poor-due etc. exist in the verses of Holy Qur’an”, then he says in his whim, “this is not the only job in the world. I do not have any spare time from my business”.

Such people are being addressed in this verse: The entire worldly things, which have intoxicated you, will remain in this world, and you will go forth in the Hereafter; empty handed as you were born. However, your soul will not like to leave your body due to your love with the worldly things and you will meet with a very severe difficulty at the time of death. Nothing will be with you and helpful from these things.

The idolaters say: These idols etc. will intercede for us in the Court of God Almighty and help us in obtaining deliverance from the punishment. As we gain our end in this world by means of them (idols), so those will be useful for us too in the Doomsday.

But contrary to this, the Angels (peace be upon Them) of frightful appearance will come unto them at the time of their death and pull their soul from their body forcibly to bring it unto the Court of Allah Almighty. At that time, they will be alone and see none to intercede for them. Their entire false thoughts and liar claims will disappear. Their relationship with intercessors and relatives will be disconnected.

Occasion of meditation - Quran Chapter 6 – 93 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-851) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 6 – 93 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-851) - درس قرآن

Occasion of meditation

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

Thinking deeply in the contents, after reciting the verses of Holy Qur’aan, is a Foundation of all worships. Important matters have been taught us in this section; which came to an end in the previous lesson. First of all, it was commanded that the people, who deny the Noble Qur’aan by saying: Allah did not reveal any Scripture. It does not suit to them, because they believe in Torah Which was revealed by Allah Almighty unto the Messenger Moses (peace be upon Him) as a Scripture. After it, they should understand that Allah Almighty, Who revealed Torah, from Which, the lucky people accrued the Light and Guidance, now The same Lord has inspired Holy Qur’an. Denying This Word is just like denying the Power and Wisdom of Allah Almighty.

Then Beauties of Holy Qur’an have been described, that this Scripture is most welcome and gracious and blessed. And It confirms those all Scriptures as true and correct, which came before It. As Those (Holy Books) were source of Light and Guidance for human being during Their times, likewise This Holy Qur’an will continue spreading the Light and Guidance in these last days of the world till the Hereafter.

After this, we are informed that those people believe in This Noble Qur’an who believe in the Day of Resurrection. It is the duty of every believer that they should establish their prayers regularly after having belief in the Hereafter and Holy Qur’an. Since the prayer is squeeze of entire worships, source of being saved from the indecent talks and evil acts, therefore, it aims that the Believers of the Doomsday and the Holy Qur’an will be the people, who will be obedient of Allah Almighty, who will save themselves from wicked deeds and will have good thoughts.

After that, the way of creating belief in the Day of Resurrection has been described, which is, remembrance of own death and the calamities of its agonies, and thinking about faithlessness of the world and its things. Everything will be kept remained here and the human being alone will go in his way. Nothing will accompany him besides own good or bad deeds, which he would have done in this world.

The result of deeds (good or bad) will come before every individual right after the death. At that moment, when his eyes will be closed hither, he will be able to see clearly the things belong to thither without further delay. His belief will be perfect at that time. The wise person is that, who understands by observing the inconstancy of the world that his stay in this world is casual, believe in the Hereafter, and do whatever can be possible in this world to be saved from the torment of the Hell. Looking at others dying, it cannot not be possible that anyone would not think that he would also have to die very soon. But being trapped by the worldly business, the humankind becomes careless, and solaces by enjoying amusements. He should understand that surely he has to die.

All wise people say that due to evil deeds, severe anxiety and discomfort will have to be suffered by every wrongdoer after death. Therefore, he should worry about living this short life, so that the comfort may be acquired after death. After thinking deeply in this matter, everyone will begin to believe in Holy Qur’an, in which, it has been mentioned very clearly that “if you wish ease and comfort after death then you should obey It. Do and live as It guides. The Holy Qur’an was inspired in this world only for the purpose that, the human beings should not look only for the leisure and comfort of the world, but he should be more careful about the life after death, and try to acquire the comfort and ease for that time, otherwise nothing will be changeable after death.

When the mankind will turn towards the Holy Qur’an then It will guide him that they should worship Allah Almighty, establish the prayer timely and regularly. In fact, the secret of our success and betterment in the both lives is hidden in the Prayer.

Punishment for wrongdoers

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

93b.  If thou couldst see, when the wrongdoers reach the pangs of death and the angels stretch their hands out (saying): Deliver up your souls. This day ye are awarded doom of degradation for that ye spoke concerning Allah other than the Truth, and used to scorn His portents.
93b.  Wa  law  taraaa  ‘iziz-zaalimuuna  fii  gamaraatil-mawti  wal-malaaa-‘ikatu  baasituuu  ‘ay-diihim. ‘Akh-rijuuu  ‘anfu-sakum. ‘Alyawma  tuj-zawna  ‘azaabal-huu-ni-  bimaa  kuntum  taquuluuna  ‘alAllaahi  gayral-Haqqi  wa  kuntum  ‘an  ‘Aayaatihii  tastakbi-ruun.

Commentary

Zaalimuuna  – (the wrongdoers, the tyrants), it is plural of Zaalim which has been derived from the word Zulm. Zulm means wrongdoing, tyranny, irrelevant and harmful sayings or doing anything which hurts. Zaalim is he, who uses entirely malicious words in conversation and commits harmful acts.

Gamaraati  – (pangs), it is plural of Gamaratun, its actual meaning is “the deep drowning water”. The person, who falls in the deep water, is entangled in difficulty and agony. Therefore, it means “the pang”.

Gayral-Haqqi  –  gayr means “against” and Haqq means “the Right and the Truth”. Gayral-Haqqi means “other than the Truth”, which as a single word can be called “a lie”.

The wrongdoing is of many types. That person, who harms either himself or other people by his bad thinking, tongue, hand and feet, pointing out by eyes or by any other conduct, is a wrongdoer. The reality of tyranny has been manifested many times in the Holy Qur’aan, shown its badness and described the way to be saved from it.

It was mentioned in the previous verse that the biggest tyrant is that person, who suggests any such word or manner for Allah Almighty, which is not suitable to His Dignity. Likewise, to claim, “I am a Prophet” is also a great tyranny.

The Messenger of Allah Almighty is being addressed in this verse: {O Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him)}! If You behold the condition of the wrongdoers when they reach death’s door, You will tremble with fear. When the time of death will come, nothing of the world will be useful for them. They will forget the world. Their outward eyes will be closed but the terrible scene of the Hereafter will be before them. The pangs and agonies of death would have surrounded them. Their wicked deeds would be standing before them like the frightful Angels, who will say them in fearful voice by stretching their long hands out in great anger and wrath: Deliver up your beloved soul in retaliation of worldly proud and honor. This day you are awarded doom of degradation for that you spoke concerning Allah other than the Truth and entirely misapprehension against His Dignity. You will be punished today for your vanity and arrogance.

93a.  And who is guilty of more wrong than he who forgeth a lie against Allah, or saith: I am inspired, when he is not inspired in aught; and who saith: I will reveal the like of that which Allah hath revealed?
93a.  Wa  man  ‘azlamu  mimmanif-taraa  ‘alAllaahi  kaziban  ‘aw  qaala  ‘uuhi-ya  ‘ilayya  wa  lam  yuuha  ‘ilayhi  shay-‘unw-wa  man-qaala  sa-‘unzilu  misla  maaa  ‘anzalAllaah.

Commentary

‘If-taraa-‘un  – (to forge or frame a lie), this word is made from  far-yunFar-yun means a lie and baseless talk. ’If-taraa means to forge a lie against someone or tell something worse against such a person, which he does not have.

‘Uuhi-ya’  – (inspired), it is past passive voice, origin of which is ’ii-haa-‘un. This word has been derived from Vahii. Here, vahii means “that Message of Allah, which is inspired upon someone by means of an Angel. ’Ii-haa means to reveal. Then ‘uuhi-ya will be meant “revealed or inspired”.

It was described previously that this Holy Qur’aan is the Scripture of Allah Almighty, which has been sent in the world for guidance, welfare and benefits of the human beings. Its usefulness will never come to an end. It completes and attests previous all Scriptures. Therefore, as you believe that Torah is the Scripture of God Almighty, in the same way, you should believe that It is also His Scripture and the Word. The only difference is that It is the last and final Scripture, and it has been determined as the last source of Guidance till the Day of Resurrection. It is the reason that It is called Sacred and Blessed Word of Allah Almighty, i.e. Its guidance and usefulness will never be finished. If you deny It, then you are the biggest transgressor. The infidels of Makkah used to say three things for denying the Holy Qur’aan, which are called in this verse “the biggest tyranny”.

It is commanded: Who would be guilty of more wrong than he who forges a lie against Allah Almighty? That is to say; Allah has not revealed any Scripture, or say as: “If Holy Qur’aan is a Revelation and Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is a Messenger, then I am also inspired and I am a messenger too”. Whereas, neither he is inspired, nor is he a messenger. Or he says: “I can also reveal this like Qur’aan, as you say that it has been revealed by Allah”.

It manifests that, the person, who says: Allah has not revealed any Scripture, the human being is free and can do whatsoever he wants; he is an infidel. Likewise, that person, who claims that he is a messenger and he is inspired, actually he is also an infidel because, neither any messenger/prophet can come after Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), nor anyone can be inspired.

The Reason behind discontinuity of any Messenger and Revelation is that the Guidance of every sort exists in the Holy Qur’aan. Neither any more guidance is required, nor anyone can bring forth anything better than It which may be more righteous for the humankind. Nothing is revealed unnecessarily. It is not the game of kids. While there is no need of any further revelation, then it is obvious that there is no need of any messenger after the Last Messenger Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). Now if anyone says, “I am a Messenger and I am inspired”, he is a liar according to this verse and most guilty of the wrong.
