Good Deal - Quran Chapter 9 – 111 (Pt-11, Stg-2) (L-1250) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 9 – 111 (Pt-11, Stg-2) (L-1250) - درس قرآن

Good Deal

Chapter Tawbah (Repentance) – Surah – 9)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

111.  Lo! Allah hath bought from the believers their lives and their wealth because the Garden will be theirs. They fight in the Way of Allah and so they slay and are slain. It is a promise which is binding on Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur’aan. And who fulfilleth his covenant better than Allah? Rejoice then in your bargain that ye have made. And that is the supreme triumph.
111.  ‘InnAllaahash-taraa  minal-Mu’-miniina  ‘anfu-sahum  wa  ‘amwaa-lahum-  bi-‘anna  lahumul-Jannah.  Yuqaa-tiluuna  fii  Sabii-Lillaahi  fayaq-tuluuna  wa  yuqta-luun.  Wa’-dan  ‘alay-hi  Haqqan  fit-Tawraati  wal-‘Injiili  wal-Qur-‘aan.  Wa  man  ‘awfaa  bi-‘Ahdihii  minAllaahi  fastab-shiruu  bi-bay-‘i-kumulla-zii  baaya’-tum-bih.  Wa  zaalika  huwal-fawzul-‘aziim.

Commentary

Baaya’-tum – (you made bargain), it is past tense, origin of which is mubaa-yatun. This word has been derived from bay-‘a. Bay-‘a means selling and buying. Mubaa-yatun means - making bargain with someone else, barter, trafficking by exchange of commodities.

This verse is summary of the Religion Islam and known from it also is that Islam is such Religion; teachings of which were delivered to the people by all Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon Them) during their times respectively. And which Scripture was revealed on every Prophet and Messenger (peace be upon Him), in it, the same teachings had been produced.

There is a dire need to meditate in the text of this verse. It is commanded: Which Religion has been determined for the human being, that is very easy. If the mankind will use his sense, he will behold that nothing is difficult in it. Which Messenger (peace be upon Him) came in which duration to save the humankind from straying (due to which; all difficulties come in the life), He (peace be upon Him) said to His people: Believe in Allah Almighty (God) wholeheartedly, then understand it properly that Allah Almighty is desirous from you that you should live in this world according to the covenant; you made with Him. Sell your lives and wealth to Allah Almighty, which means that whenever, He command you about anything, produce your lives and wealth immediately to obey His order, whether you are slain or your wealth remains no more. In both forms, you will deserve the Gardens (Paradise) for obeying His command. It is a promise; which is binding on Him, mentioned in Torah, Gospel and Qur’aan. None can be truer than Allah Almighty in fulfilling the promise. So you should be happy that you have made bargain with Him, sold your lives and wealth to Him; and purchased Paradise from Him. It is such a great success, against which; all other accidental successes are worthless.

Misfortune of Zaraar Mosque - Quran Chapter 9 – 110 (Pt-11, Stg-2) (L-1249) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 9 – 110 (Pt-11, Stg-2) (L-1249) - درس قرآن

Misfortune of Zaraar Mosque

Chapter Tawbah (Repentance) – Surah – 9)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

110.  The building which they built will never cease to be a misgiving in their hearts unless their hearts be torn to pieces. And Allah is Knower, Wise.
110.  Laa  yazaalu  bunyaanu-humullazii  ba-naw  riibatan-  fii quluu-bihim  ‘illaa  ‘an  taqatta-‘a  quluu-buhum.  Wallaahu  ‘Aliimun  Hakiim.

Commentary

Riibatan – (misgiving, uneasiness, unsatisfactory), we discussed a word laa  rayba  fiih in the second verse of Surah ‘Al-Baqarah. The word riibatan is another form of the same word. The both words mean – such thing which keeps the heart restless and it does never satisfy. Such condition is base of anxiety and uneasiness. And it results always from doubts and suspicion, ill-will and dishonesty, grief and sorrow, injustice and great anger. Regret and desire also produce the same condition. Here, these entire meanings are useful.

Taqatta-‘a – (being torn to pieces), actually this word was tataqatta-‘a. first ta was removed in speaking. Origin of this word is qat-‘un, which means “to cut, to disconnect”. From the same origin; some more words like qat’ahtaqtii’‘inqataa’ and muqaati-‘ah etc. have been derived. Base of the word taqatta-‘a, which has been used here; is ta-qatta-‘un. Meanings of taqatta-‘a and 'inqataa’ are “to be separated, to be cut off etc.”. Meanings of remaining other word are “to cut”.

In this verse also, the mention of Masjid Zaraar, which was built by the Hypocrites against Masjid Qubaa, exists. Foundation of that Masjid was on their dishonesty. Their aim was to harm the Muslims. But because, they were informed before time about this matter by means of God’s Revelation, so that Masjid was demolished. And those people, who built it, could not reap any advantage. However their hearts were disgusted additionally. Feelings of hatred, anger and violence broke up into them and satisfaction of their hearts disappeared.

It is commanded: Which building had they constructed by the name of Masjid (Masjid Zaraar), that was not worthy to be kept safe and sound. That was able to be demolished. So it was demolished. But in the hearts of the Hypocrites, more hypocrisy, enmity and stubbornness increased due to that so-called mosque.

They could not harm the Muslims, but were perplexed in their hearts. These wicked feelings had made room in their hearts very deeply. Now those feelings cannot be removed unless their hearts are torn to pieces. Allah Almighty was well Aware of their ill-will. He did not let run their tricks on account of His Wisdom and Expedient. And their entire plans were ruined, and the Muslims were triumphant in every respect due to their Belief and good-will. And Allah Almighty bestowed them honor and wealth with His Mercy. And for future, the Muslims should take it as a lesson that their aim should not be worldly benefits but to please Allah Almighty in every matter.

Reverence is a firm foundation - Quran Chapter 9 – 109 (Pt-11, Stg-2) (L-1248) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 9 – 109 (Pt-11, Stg-2) (L-1248) - درس قرآن

Reverence is a firm foundation

Chapter Tawbah (Repentance) – Surah – 9)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

109.  Is he who founded his building on piety and His good pleasure better, or he who founded his building on the brink of a crumbling, overhanging precipice so that it toppled with him into the fire of Hell? And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.
109.  ‘Afaman  ‘assasa  bunyaana-huu  ‘alaa  taqwaa  minAllaahi  wa  Rizwaanin  khayrun  ‘am-man  ‘assasa  bun-yaanahuu  ‘alaa  shafaa  jurufin  haarin-  fan-haara  bihii  fii  naari Jahannam.  Wallaahu  laa  yahdil—qaw-maz-zaalimiin.

Commentary

‘Assasa – (founded, laid a foundation), it is a past tense, origin of which is taasiis; and derived from ‘asasa. From it another word has come out – ‘asaas, use of which is famous as foundation, basis, root and source. ‘Assun is it’s another form; which is used for the same meaning.

Jurufun – (precipice, abyss), a pit or a trench, brink of which has been excavated by flowing water and which is near to fall.

Haarin is the subject from ha-wa-ra and fan-haara, which is later, that has the same origin and it is past tense. The word ‘Anhaar means “to fall down”.

Masjid Qubaa and that Mosque, which was built for opposing the first and according to command of Qur’aan, it was named as Masjid Zaraar, were already being discussed. It has been mentioned that it was better to stand for praying in the first Mosque Qubaa), which was built by the honest, pure and true people only for the worship of Allah Almighty, than standing to pray in that Mosque (Masjid Zaraar) which was built by malicious people and those who spread dissension.

It is commanded: The person who builds any Mosque with the intention that there; worshipers of Allah Almighty and His obedient servants should be assembled for offering Prayer, is better than the person whose intentions are wandering. By building a mosque he doesn’t intend to acquire pleasure of Allah Almighty, but for different worldly purposes. Its example is just like as someone who founded his building on the brink of a crumbling, definitely one day, it will overhang at the precipice, so that it would be toppled. Later on, due to his ill-will, he will fall in the Fire of the Hell along with his doings.

It is obvious from this verse that fear and pleasure of Allah Almighty should be basis of a mankind’s every action. Except it, other all intentions will be finished with the worldly life and the deeds which were based on them, which were apparently good; all will be wasted.

108b.  A place of worship which was found on piety from the first day is more worthy that thou shouldst stand (to pray) therein. Wherein are men who like to remain purified and clean. Allah loveth those who are clean and pure.

Commentary

Messenger of Allah Almighty (SallAllaahu alayHi wa AaliHii Wasallam) was prohibited from standing to pray in Masjid Zaraar which was built as a challenge to old Masjid Qubaa; and the ill-will of those people has been described clearly who constructed new masjid; that it has been built for the purpose that they may enforce the infidelity against Islam. And by creating discord among the Muslims, they should produce at least two groups for the present. In future, an opportunity will be available to spread more dissensions.

It has been described in this verse that which Masaajid (Mosques) are suitable for standing to pray. Those Masaajid which do not fulfill the standard mentioned in this verse, are not worthy that Muhammad, the Messenger of God Almighty (SallAllaahu alayHi wa AaliHii Wasallam) and the Muslims should stand into them to pray.

It is commanded that the Masaajid which have been built with sincerity and good-will from the beginning, only those are worthy for standing to pray. Such Masaajid were two only at that time – Masjid Nabvi (SallAllaahu alayHi wa AaliHii Wasallam) and old Masjid Qubaa. There are such people in these Masaajid whose hearts are pure and clean from infidelity, hypocrisy and ill-will. And they keep their appearance also clean and pure according to rule. Allah Almighty likes such people.

It is known from this illustration that purpose of constructing any Masjid should be for pure worship of Allah Almighty. Building of a Masjid for support and help of any particular group or sect is not suitable, because misunderstanding and dissension will grow among the Muslims by doing so, and instead of worshiping Allah Almighty sincerely, it will be used for making plots to develop and support own sect.

Standing to pray in such Masjid; supports those people who create any sect. consequently the Muslims will divide and there will be many sects. It is such a thing; from which Islam has forbidden severely. Being stubborn, a man can commit; whatever he wishes. There is an afraid in it that such individual may adopt infidelity to humiliate others (Let us flee to Allah). Sorry to say that nowadays, signs of hypocrisy are being observed openly. About the infidelity; it is that; we should be careful from saying someone “Infidel”, otherwise its symptoms are very clear.
