Paganism of the Christians

Surah MAAA-‘IDAH (The Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

72.  They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is but the Messiah, son of Mary. And the Messiah (himself) said: O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Lo! Whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, for him Allah hath forbidden Paradise, his abode is the Fire. And for evildoers there will be no helpers.
72.  Laqad  kafaral-laziina  qaaluuu  ‘InnAllaaha  Huwal-Masiih-hubnu-Maryam.  Wa  qaalal-Masiihu  yaa-Baniii-  ‘Israaa-‘iila’-budUllaaha  Rabbii  wa  Rabbakum.  ‘Innahuu  many-yushrik  BIllaahi  faqad  harra-mAllaahu  ‘alayhil-Jannata  wa  ma’-waahun-Naar.  Wa  maa  lizzaalimiina  min  ‘ansaar.

Commentary

Condition of the Christians has been described in these verses and they are being warned, “You are also disobeying the commandments of your Messenger Messiah (Jesus), son of Mary (peace be upon him) and falsifying clearly the Commandments mentioned in the Gospel, you do not believe in the last Messenger Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and it is unknown that, by which proof you say God to the Messiah (Christ) (peace be upon him)”.

Listen! Those people who say: Lo! Allah is this who has appeared in the form of Messiah, son of Mary (peace be upon them) in the world, they do not know God’s Degree of Dignity and surely they are disbelievers. They are quite opposite of that which was told by Christ (peace be upon him), because He (peace be upon him) delivered an open Message to the Children of Israel, “Worship Allah only, Who is my Lord and your Lord”.

There is no any doubt in it that the person, who will ascribe partners to Allah Almighty, will believe in them equal to a worshipped. Entrance to Paradise has been ceased by Allah Almighty for them entirely and its door has been closed for them. They can never enter the Gardens (Paradise). Their abode is the Hell, which is a pile of Fire.

They are doing wrong as they are bringing below Allah Almighty from His Degree of the Dignity and settling a mankind equal to Him. Ask these tyrants, “While the Christ (peace be upon him) says himself as the servant of Allah Almighty, and Allah Almighty as his (peace be upon him) Lord and God, then, how do you say him (peace be upon him) God? (Let’s flee to God).

Retaliation of the sins

Surah MAAA-‘IDAH (The Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

71.  They thought no harm would come of it, so they were willfully blind and deaf; and afterward Allah turned (in mercy) toward them. Now (even after that) are many of them willfully blind and deaf. And Allah is Seer of what they do.
71.  wa  hasibuuu  ‘allaa  takuuna  fit-natun  fa-‘amuu  wa    sam-muu  summa  taabAllaahu  ‘alayhim  summa  ‘amuu  wa  sammuu  kasiirum-minhum.  WAllaahu  Basiirum-bimaa  ya’-maluun.

Commentary

It was described earlier that there are three necessary matters for the deliverance of human being:

1.    Believe in Allah Almighty. It is sure that if one will believe in Him, he/she shall recognize His last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) too.

2.    Believe in the Day of the Resurrection.

3.    Do good.

The person, who will act upon these three deeds, will be able to acquire deliverance.

Allah Almighty made it covenant of old with the Children of Israel. But they forgot this covenant by degrees and disobeyed Allah Almighty. An open sign of which is that they adjudged about His Messengers that they (peace be upon Them) were liars and many of Them were slain by them. Condition of their belief and good works has been known from it. If they were believers then they would not have disobeyed Allah Almighty, and if they were righteous then they would not have slain the Messengers (peace be upon Them) of Allah Almighty.

It has been explained in this verse that instead of believing in the Day of Resurrection and confuting the punishment against bad deeds, they, on the contrary, fixed in their hearts this thought, “Do whatever you wish, you will be OK”.

Therefore, they gave up hearing the well doers and became willfully blind and deaf. Allah Almighty imposed upon them worldly punishment, Bukht Nasar attacked, ruined their country and after imprisoning, brought them to Babel City. When they got away from this misfortune painfully, they repented. Allah Almighty accepted their supplication but after a few days, their new generation adopted the same behavior and involved in evils with the cession of mind. And then again, they were willfully blind and deaf. It is true that the desires of a mankind make him willfully blind and deaf. But you should not consider that you will never be seized due to evil deeds. You can be willfully blind but Allah Almighty has been observing your all movements. Where will you go being saved from His Sight?

Commentary

In the previous verse, the mankind was guided unto the path of goodness and improvement; and was informed clearly that you cannot gain your end by caste, religious title or active claims. These all affairs are useless. It is the decision of Islam that there is only one path for that person, who wants to get rid of fear and grief.

Allah Almighty has given a clue openly about that fundamental weakness, which carries anyone towards any sin, and practices of the Children of Israel have been described as its example, that the Messengers (peace be upon Them) of Allah Almighty came to them and brought His Commandments. They (the Jews) were prevented from unreasonable desires by means of these Commandments, but they had formed their habit to do that, what they wished, though after that they suffer.

Experience of the mankind declares the same that when evil days fall upon anyone, he/she begins to fulfill personal desires like insane. So if you observe any person or nation has been engaged in grazing like cattle, rending like ravenous and fulfilling lust like animals, imagine then! Any vigorous and big misfortune is going to be fallen upon their heads.

The Children of Israel did never listen to the Messengers (peace be upon Them). Many of Them were evaded and falsified, but those Messengers (peace be upon Them), who continued carrying their Message to the Jews, They were slaughtered, for instance; Prophets Zachariah and Yahiya (John) etc. (peace be upon Them). They did all of these acts because the people had been entangled in devilish desires. These are the cursed wishes, which prevent the human being from doing good deeds.

Commentary

The Holy Qur’aan is the Last Scripture out of those Scriptures which were revealed from Allah Almighty unto His servants. At the time of Its alighting, the Jews were also existing, who had Torah, revealed before It, and the Christians were present too, who had Gospel. It is fact that these people used to know the Messenger of Allah Almighty, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) very well that He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is the Last Prophet, for Whom Abraham (peace be upon Him) prayed and about whom Jesus (peace be upon Him) conveyed good news. But thoughts of a little worldly gains and lust of animal like desires made them blind and they got ready to oppose it. In their imitation, the Ignorant and illiterate Arabian also were faster going in the enmity of Islam.

The Jews and the Christians were told in the previous verses that it was better for them to believe in this Last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) and His Scripture i.e. Holy Qur’aan. They are going to err if do not believe in Them. Whereas, they lay but to stake upon their obstinacy that they were the accepted servants of Allah Almighty, they cannot be punished. This conception of theirs has been falsified very strongly and described clearly about the dependence of the deliverance.

Allah Almighty has admonished that though anyone say oneself a Muslim, a Jew, a Christian or a Saabii etc., however, that is a mankind. There is only one way of deliverance from troubles, pains and calamities that they should accept God (Allah Almighty) as He is, believe in Him, know for the certainty of the Day of Resurrection and do good works. Such person will be delivered from fear, grief and pain forever. It is clear that the person, who believes in Allah Almighty, is impossible for him/her not to believe in His Last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him).

So, it is the condition of freedom, “Believe in Allah Almighty, His all Messengers, Prophets and Angels (peace be upon Them), the Day of Resurrection, and do good works”. There shall no fear come upon such persons neither shall they grieve.

Commentary

It has been explained in this verse that it does not befit to the Jews and the Christians, who have been given the Scriptures like Torah and Gospel; that they disbelieve and associate with the Infidels. So, tell them again that they should act upon their own Scriptures. When they will obey the commandments of their own Scriptures, it will become incumbent for them to believe positively in Arabic Qur’aan and Arabic Messenger, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), because it is the Commandment of their own Scripture that they should obey the Last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). They cannot be called at the Straight Path until they do not act upon their own Scripture.

Allah Almighty commands, “Tell the People of the Scripture that as far as they do not follow their own Scriptures till then they would continue going trackless and in a sprawling manner, because while they threw away their Scripture behind, then what would be more misfortune than it that they chose their wishes as their guide. It is a universal truth that any slave of wishes has no way to go ahead. He turned towards that direction, in which his wishes turned him.

These people do not understand that Holy Qur’aan is the best Summary of their own Scriptures and it is their duty to hold it fast quickly. But on the contrary, they have fallen in the persistency that “They would not have to do, what Qur’aan says”. Due to this stubbornness, Holy Qur’aan has become reason of their depravity due to their persistency and disregard, and their wickedness, obstinacy and infidelity increased so much.

Duty of the Muslims - Quran Chapter 5 – 67 (Pt-6, Stg-2) (L-714) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 5- 67 (Pt-6, Stg-2) (L-714) - درس قرآن

Duty of the Muslims

Surah MAAA-‘IDAH (The Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

In the previous verses, after causing to know many commandments, Allah Almighty addresses to His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), “It doesn’t matter if either the people believe or otherwise. You should not be grief due to their wickedness. Certainly the Holy Qur’aan is a collection of good advices for the mankind. If the people do not believe in it, then it is their stupidity and foolishness”.

If the giver is sure that he has a thing which is advantageous and profitable for all, but the person, who has to take it, refuses from taking it, then nothing can be seen in him but his folly. These people have made up their mind that they would take only that thing, which is useful; particularly for them only. What can be more stupidity of a mankind than it? Surely they, who know, will like that thing, which is useful equally for all, and will desire only the quantity of profit, which is equal to others.

That person, who wants that he should receive everything and leave other entire persons longing, is an animal like dogs and beasts of prey. And the person, who wishes that he and his friend should take only, but remaining all people should remain entreating, is like a crow, but he is also mere an animal. It is suitable for the human being that he should take to the extent of his need only, after providing with the necessities of every person. Advantage of everyone is in it only and the dependence of the morality is also only upon it. It is the fundamental stone of that Revelation, which was revealed upon the Messenger Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). It is compulsory to communicate this Message to the entire human beings, whether they understand it or not. So it has been admonished strictly in this verse.

Allah Almighty commands, “O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him)! Make known (the people, entire) that, which has been revealed unto You from Your Lord” (verbally as well as acting upon it too), because these are the actual meanings of conveying the Message. Otherwise, saying by tongue only, but acting not upon it by oneself, does not have any sense. If You did not convey this Message properly, this responsibility will remain on Your charge and it will be said, “You did not render the due of this Message”. However, those people, who do not listen to You and oppose, You should not have any concern with them. They can never harm You, but will harm themselves. Allah Almighty will protect you from them and preserve you from their wickedness.

You should not be efficacious from it that neither they listen to you, and nor obey you. It is luck of everyone. Some are fortunate, while the others have bad luck. The Belief, which is like the Wealth, is not in their fate, because it has been known due to their disobedience of Allah’s Word that they have adopted the path of infidelity and they like to remain Infidels. It is the Divine’s Law that the ways of guidance have been closed for them, who desire to remain Infidels.

A clear commandment comes out from this lesson for the Muslims that they should produce themselves by making themselves a pattern of Islam, then invite the people for it. If they will not do so, they will be guilty of two crimes. At first, that they did not act upon it themselves and secondly, they did not fulfill their duty to carry the Message of Islam to non-believers.

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

67.  O Messenger! Make known that which hath been revealed unto Thee from Thy Lord, for if Thou do it not, Thou wilt not have conveyed His Message. And Allah will protect Thee from mankind. Lo! Allah guideth not the disbelieving folk.
67.  Yaaa-‘ayyu-har-Rasuulu  ballig  maaa  ‘unzila  ‘ilayka  mir-Rabbik.  Wa  ‘illam  taf-‘al  famaa  ballagta  Risaa-latah.  WAllaahu  ya’-simuka  minan-naas.  ‘InnAllaaha  laa  yahdil-qawmal-Kaafiriin.

Commentary

Ballig – this word is from tabliig, which means “communicating the message, conveying the message of Allah Almighty to non-believers; preaching Islam”. Another word ‘Balaag’ has also been derived from it, which means ‘communication or delivery of a message’. Risaa-latah – ‘The Message’, any written thing, which is required to be delivered to other people. The word Rasuul, has been derived from it, which means ‘the Messenger of Allah Almighty (peace be upon Him).

It has been described many times from the very first that Allah Almighty revealed many Scriptures in the world. The main aim of the Revelations was that, those people should act upon their commands and hold them fast, for whom those Scriptures were revealed. Before the revelation of Holy Qur’aan, the Torah was revealed on the Messenger Moses (peace be upon Him), in which there were all kinds of necessary and clear Instructions about “How to dwell in the world” in those days, the Psalms of David (peace be upon Him), (these both Scriptures were revealed for the Jews), and the Gospel was revealed on the Messenger Jesus (peace be upon Him) with the same basic commandments but some needful amendments, which were considered necessary by Allah Almighty due to human improvement with the passage of time. But the Jews and the Christians did not act upon them.

At the end, the last Scripture i.e. Holy Qur’aan was revealed, and it represented the commandments of all previous Scriptures as true. And those commands were either kept in the same manner or all were gathered with necessary amendments, which were suitable for these people of the last time. And complete Rules of Practice was given to the mankind duly prepared. Now this Scripture is sufficient for the guidance of the human beings until the Day of Resurrection. It has been mentioned in all previous Scriptures to believe in this last Scripture. So, if the Jews and the Christians had acted upon their own Scripture then it was incumbent for them that they would have believed in the truth of Holy Qur’aan and the last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) and obeyed Him, then they would be best people today. They would have obtained all the blessings of the earth and skies in the world and lived in ease and comfort on the Day of Resurrection. They would have obtained deliverance from the entire evils and bad presage of the sins. But alas! They did not do so, but gripped their loins to oppose the Messenger Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) and the last Scripture i.e. Holy Qur’aan, and began to trouble the Muslims. They injured the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), left no omission in their wickedness, mischief, quarrel and fighting against the Muslims, and supported the Infidels of Makkah, when they were fighting against the Muslims.
