Quran Chapter 6 – 165 (Pt-8, Stg-2) (L-924) - درس قرآن

Meaning of the Caliphate of Allah (3)

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

7.  It will become easy for us to understand after reaching to this stage by reflecting in this verse that, which kind of society or government is required by Islam.

When this world is like an Examination Hall, then it is clear that the living being, that is to say; the mankind is the focus in the world, whether that is man or woman, child or young, middle-aged or older. Position of every person is just like a candidate in the Examination Hall. But he does not enter the Examination Hall immediately after the birth. Moreover, with effect from his birth to adolescence is his time of preparation. After that, his test begins with effect from the date of his maturity. The method of his test has been manifested upon him. After knowing that, now he is free and independent to do his work himself. He can do whatever he wishes to do. His every deed will be written and the result of his record will be caused to hear him on the Day of Resurrection. But according to the Regulation of the Test, he cannot do any such work, from which, the work of any other candidate is interrupted.

It is duty of the society that it should not permit any individual to commit any such work due to which the Examination Hall does not remain – the Examination Hall, but it becomes house of disputes and quarrels, and the facility of solving the questions and filling the answer sheets from question papers is not provided to the candidates freely. From here, it should be understood clearly that the society should provide all facilities to every living being, due to which, he may do his work of taking test easily without any hindrance.

Those people who have taken exam of university etc. they can understand well efficiently “how to establish map of the management of the world in accord with the same example”. Every mankind, whether he/she lives in any part of the world, whether he/she belongs to any race, caste or nation etc. all are equal in the Examination Hall. And everyone will be provided all those facilities in the Examination Hall, which are being provided to some others. On the same lines, the management of the world should be realized in the mind.

The Creator of the world has been examining Himself to every individual and He has made the Administrative Rules and Regulations for keeping established the atmosphere of the Examination Hall. Every living being would have to remain bound of Them. The society and the government are only for looking after those Rules and Regulations. Those (society and government) do not have any relation with the candidate’s prescribed course of study for test and the subjects. They have to see only that the peace and safety, comfort and satisfaction of the Examination Hall remains established. Any such need or stoppage from others does not happen to the candidate, which is a hindrance in preparing his record with freedom.

Allah Almighty has described clearly in this verse and in many other verses like this: This is a Test that - which the Religion a mankind adopts at his/her own. Hence, the false and self-invented religions exist also along with the Real and the True Religion. The teachers and preachers of every religion are living in the world, but their only duty is to prove their own religions as correct by their tongue and office. It is not their duty to compel anyone by unreasonable influence and pressure to accept their religion. The Sovereignty and Government of Allah Almighty is neither national, nor religious and nor It belongs to any country. All the people will be brought up equally in the world and comfortable things will be provided also equally to all of them. It is the management of the Examination Hall. The governments of the world should be according to such pattern of the management of the Examination Hall. The final decision regarding success or failure will be made by Allah Almighty Himself on the Day of Resurrection.

Quran Chapter 6 – 165 (Pt-8, Stg-2) (L-923) - درس قرآن

Meaning of the Caliphate of Allah (2)

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

1.    We have come to know from the lessons of Chapter ‘An-‘aam that the difference of mankind’s different powers and states is not for the purpose that the person, who is powerful, should press to the weak, the rich to the poor, and senior to the junior. But the aim is that this power should be considered as a grant from Allah Almighty and it should be used in performing His works. Which Scriptures have been brought by the Messengers (peace be upon Them) i.e. Torah, Psalms and Gospel etc. including the last Messenger, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) and the last Scripture is Holy Qur’an, it has been explained into Them that “In which works an individual should spend his those powers, which have been given by Allah Almighty”. Those entire works have been described in Holy Qur’an and the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) has caused to learn the method by acting upon those works Himself and established a Way for others. Those entire deeds have been mentioned in the Sayings (‘Ahaadiith) of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him).

2.    The individual, who will spend his powers and strength to go on Allah’s prescribed Path and for establishing an example for others, and will remain firm in this effort till own death, that, the name of Allah Almighty should be success, he is successful and after death, real happiness will be in his fate. Moreover, he will be shown a glare of that happiness in the world too, sign of which is satisfaction of the heart, and a desire to correct and help other human beings like him. But that person, who will spend his abilities in evil-deeds due to hearing from the pretenders and those who are entangled in the worldly misdeeds, and will establish a bad example for others and will continue doing such wicked-deeds until death, he is a failure in the test and he would have to suffer a severe calamity and God’s wrath after death. And in this world also, resultant, he will get nothing except distress, dissatisfaction of the heart and pain.

3.    We can understand as much from this verse that the Path, which Allah Almighty has determined for the mankind, is for every human being in the world. Holy Qur’an and the Message (Sayings) of the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) are not for any particular individual, class or nation. Everyone can understand and adopt it according to own ability, with those mental and thinking powers, which Allah Almighty has given to him. Publication of his success or failure will be on the Day of Resurrection and then he will be rewarded or punished in accordance with own deeds. It has been known too that none has any right to compel any other to accept his ideology. Those people who remain in this inclination that power of the world, wealth and honor should remain with them only, so that they may compel others to obey their commands, they are at error, because they want to snatch the liberty of human beings, and it is totally unlawful. Correct form of living in the world is that the entire human beings should live in such a manner that every person may get opportunity of thinking and meditating at his own. Safety and peace should be established. Every individual may obtain necessities of life, food and drinkable easily, and no one should break heart of any other by his tongue, hands or feet. And everyone should have chance to seek the Truth freely. This all is understandable from it that the world is a place of test and everyone should try to get success in the examination satisfactorily and with consolation. Therefore, the world should be vacant from useless turbulence as it should be considered an examination hall of any University or College. Administrators are responsible to provide immediate necessities of the entire candidates, so that they may remain busy in writing the answers of their test’s question papers, and nothing may disturb them.

Meaning of the Caliphate of Allah (1) - Quran Chapter 6 – 165 (Pt-8, Stg-2) (L-922) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 6 – 165 (Pt-8, Stg-2) (L-922) - درس قرآن

Meaning of the Caliphate of Allah (1)

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

Lessons of Suratul – ‘An-‘aam came to an end by the Grace of Allah Almighty, but in fact, its ending should be taken as beginning to think into its guidelines, and understanding the commands revealed in it, which is the best source of instilling the object of Islam. Its last verse is an ocean of sciences, out of which, the divers will be bringing out the precious pearls.

Some more advices have been caused to engage the attention as under. All the subjects of this Chapter will be obvious by keeping them under consideration and it will be helpful to understand Islam, if Allah Almighty wills:

1.    The name of this Chapter is ‘An-‘aam, which means “Cattle”. The cattle is useful for burdening and other necessities of the human being, for example; it provides meat and milk, which are used for food and drinking, wool to escape from the cold weather etc. The entire cattle are servants of the mankind and he takes work from them as he wishes. Like this, grains, vegetables, fruit and flowers etc. all these things have been produced for the human being, which are used for eating, drinking, making clothes etc. After mentioning all these things in the Chapter, lastly, it is described: The mankind is higher in rank and excellence in creation among all others.

2.    Mankind is a Viceroy of Allah Almighty in the earth. It is such a proclamation, due to which a mankind gets knowledge about himself. He should know that Allah Almighty has appointed for His works separately to every person by giving him a particular power. That is to say; every individual is a government servant. You would have observed in the world: How much higher in rank, a government servant considers himself, than others? He does never bow his head before any other person, and desires own respect from the entire people. Similarly, every individual should have perception of his own respect and honor, which he gains due to being servant of the Highest Government, his Owner and Master i.e. slave of Allah Almighty. From here, the lesson of human equality is learned. The entire people are slaves of One Master. In this sense, none has any superiority over any other. From it, perception of self-respect grows into every person.

3.    In the slavery of Allah Almighty, (according to English language which is called “Adoration”, according to Persian language which is called “Bandgii and according to Arabic language is ‘ibaadat”) the entire human beings are equal. Neither is anyone elder, nor little because of nation, country, caste, dynasty, family or tribe, but it is evident that abilities and strength of all of them are not equal. Their alls’ Mental and physical strengths are separate and different from one another, but that strength or power, which anyone has, has been given by Allah Almighty. And the reason of fluctuation in the strength of everyone (more or less, decrease or increase) is that every person is being tested separately and individually.

The method of test is that a prescribed Way has been fixed for all human beings, and its marks of the path, signs and tokens have been spread everywhere in the world. Then the human beings have been caused to understand too by sending the Scriptures through the Messengers (peace be upon Them) from time to time. The Callers towards this Path exist on every step also and those too, who misguide. Every mankind is capable commonly to know both kinds of them. And then, there are some particular powers, which exist more in some people and less in some.

It is duty of every human being that he/she should  either go on that (straight) Path by searching and recognizing by own sense or should remain near to it as close as it may be possible. The people should spend their entire powers in search of and going on the Straight Path.

What does Chapter Six teach us - Quran Chapter 6 – 165 (Pt-8, Stg-2) (L-921) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 6 – 165 (Pt-8, Stg-2) (L-921) - درس قرآن

What does Chapter Six teach us

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

Basic principles and rules of Islam have been manifested very beautifully in this Chapter. Some of them have been appended below, so that those should be studied thoughtfully once again; keeping these points in view, and till the time those are not understood thoroughly, one should continue trying to understand them, and then explanation of such hints should be searched during daily recitation, with which the entire Glorious Qur’an is full.

1.    The heavens, the earth and all those things, which these contain, have been created by Allah Almighty and He is Who brings them up. Therefore, the human being should bow only before Him, neither there should be any hope and nor any fear from any one else except Him.

2.    Noble Qur’an is the last Scripture from Allah Almighty and it contains the entire laws and complete code of life for all the people until expiry of the entire world, for every time. There is a great danger for them, who disobey and do not follow its Revelations. To frighten from the result of disobedience, the Messenger of Allah Almighty, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) has been commanded by revealing upon Him this Word: Go and deliver Its Message to all people, so that they should go on the Straight Path having fear of God and be saved from the ruin. This very duty rests also upon the nation of the Last Messenger (Muslim Ummah).

3.    Holy Qur’an preaches for that same Religion, which was established in the beginning of human life, and the Messengers and Prophets (peace be upon Them) used to come during every time and at every place for spreading and teaching its regulations and instructions. In this connection, Holy Qur’an is the last Scripture, revealed for the guidance of entire mankind, and until the world is firm; complete guidance exists in It.

4.    None has any power to make the Divine Law and establish It; that is to say; the Religion. Neither any individual can fix any deed compulsory (either for himself or for others) according to own desires and nor can forbid any one from any work. Its straight and simple meaning is that “Making anything lawful or forbidden is in the Power of Allah Almighty”, no mankind can interfere in this matter. However, those people who have perfect knowledge of the Religion and who have sincerity and are pure from selfishness, they can continue the Commands of Allah Almighty in reasonable form according to occasion, on the condition that. Islamic spirit stands firm and no interference takes place in good rites.

5.    It is the Islamic spirit that everything should be for the sake of Allah Almighty and for acquiring His Willingness. None should reap any kind of unlawful advantage from any other. Neither any one should trouble and nor compel any other. Take care of Justice in every matter and be saved from oppression. Any such work should not be committed, due to which, any person is somehow tortured or injured.

Good Rites are those deeds, which have been determined by the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) Himself and which are ongoing continuously with effect from fourteen centuries, and upon which, the entire Muslims have been acting regularly in every time. That is to say; form, time, terms and conditions, cleanliness and method of the prayer, number of rak-‘aat (in standing condition for recitation of a portion of the Holy Qur’anRakuu’  (bowing head and upper part of body in prayer), Sajuud (bowing so as to touch the ground with the forehead in adoration), and Qa’-dah – sitting position for reciting Tashah-had), measurement of Zakaah (poor-due) and method of its payment and collection, time and method of fasting, time of pilgrimage and its method. These four things have been running constantly. No one has any right to change them. In the same manner, there is a standard of morality and mutual affairs, which has been established by Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). These cannot be changed also. Keeping regard of all these matters, those persons, who are righteous, sincere, familiar with the law and shariah can make timely codes of issues, upon which, shura council of alike persons are agreed. These all matters are understandable from this verse.

Mankind is viceroy of Allah on the earth - Quran Chapter 6 – 165 (Pt-8, Stg-2) (L-920) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 6 – 165 (Pt-8, Stg-2) (L-920) - درس قرآن

Mankind is viceroy of Allah on the earth

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

165.  He it is Who hath placed you as viceroy of the earth and hath exalted some of you in rank above others, that He may try you by (the test of) that which He hath given you. Lo! Thy Lord is Swift in prosecution, and lo! He verily is Forgiving, Merciful
165.  Wa  Huwal-lazii ja-‘alakum  khalaaa-‘ifal-‘arzi  wa  rafa-‘a  ba’-zakum  fawqa  ba’-zin  darajaa-til-li-yabluwa-kum  fii  maaa  ‘aataa-kum.  ‘Inna  Rabbaka  Sarii-‘ul-‘iqaabi  wa  ‘innaHuu  la-Gafuurur-Rahiim.

Commentary

Khalaaa-‘ifa – (viceroys), this word is plural of Khaliifah. The meaning of Khaliifah has passed in fourth Section of Second Chapter (Surah ‘Al-Baqarah‘Innii jaaa_'ilun fil ‘arzi Khaliifah. "I am about to place a viceroy in the earth." (verse: 30). We can understand clearly from the under reference verse that the mankind is viceroy of Allah Almighty on the earth. It means that He has sent down the human being with some special powers and authorities, so that He may take here some Work of His Own from the mankind and bestow them rewards according to every individual’s personal deeds, whatsoever they performed in this world. This Chapter was revealed already in Makkah, whereas Surah ‘Al-Baqarah was revealed later in Madinah. So Surah ‘Al-Baqarah should be considered as explanation of this Chapter. Its explanation exists also in some more Chapters revealed in Makkah i.e. the next Chapter i.e. “‘Al-‘A’-raaf” etc.

It has been commanded in this verse that Allah Almighty has placed you; that is to say; the mankind, with the rank of viceroy on the earth and empowered every individual in different matters and prescribed some works, which are necessary to be performed by every human being. There are different grades for different people and this difference is visible in the both kind of powers i.e. physical as well as spiritual. Some are strong and some weak, some are intelligent and some dull. Every person is odd from others in the position/devising. Similarly, necessities of everyone are different too, for example; some are rich while the others are poor, some are handsome and some ugly.

Allah Almighty has kept this difference among the human beings for the purpose that He wishes to test all of them in accordance with every individual’s personal knowledge and ability. He will award or reward every human being according to everyone’s personal failure or success. Surely He will not delay in punishment, when the time will come.

However, if some omission or any error is committed in obedience of His command, He is Forgiving. He gives reward too with His Mercy to them, who do good. A complete Code for living in the world has been described in this verse, for those, who think that “What is the rank of Mankind in the World and what he would have to do according to his grade?”

It is a matter of understanding that every human being is required to be tested by that, whatsoever has he/she been given, as strong man’s strength is not his own, but is given by Allah Almighty. That strength has not been given to him to press the feeble people, but it should be used to help and support them. The wealth of the rich is also for his test. If he will spend his wealth to fulfill his/her own sensual desires and useless pomp and show, then will be punished certainly. If someone will give it to the needy people for the sake of Allah Almighty, he will succeed. Like this, whatever has been given to anyone; is given to use it according to the Will of Allah Almighty.

None can give anything save Allah - Quran Chapter 6 – 164 (Pt-8, Stg-2) (L-919) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 6 – 164 (Pt-8, Stg-2) (L-919) - درس قرآن

None can give anything save Allah

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

164.  Say: Shall I seek another than Allah for Lord, when He is Lord of all things? Each soul earneth only on its own account, nor doth any laden bear another’s load. Then unto your Lord is your return, so He will tell you that wherein ye differed.
164.  Qul  ‘a-gay-rAllaahi  ‘abgii  Rabbanw-wa  Huwa  Rabbu  kulli  shay.  Wa  laa  taksibu  kullu  nafsin  ‘illaa  ‘alayhaa.  Wa  laa  taziru  waaziratunw-  wizra  ‘ukhraa.  Summa  ‘ilaa  Rabbikum-marji-‘ukum  fa-yunabbi-‘ukum-  bimaa  kuntum  fiihi  takh-talifuun.

Commentary

Laa  taziru – (will not bear the load), the origin of this word is wazrun, which means “to burden, to bear the load”. Waaziratun is active feminine noun also from it (which means “laden”, the adjective of “the soul”. As per Arabic language nafs (soul) is feminine, so its adjective is feminine too. The word waziir has been derived from it also.

‘Ukhraa – (another), this word is used as feminine too, masculine of which is‘Aakhir. It also means (another).

Whenever we look up at the world, we see a strange system. Everything has been decorated at its proper place according to rules, and its requirements are being fulfilled regularly. Nobody can know to recognize them except Allah Almighty. Therefore, there is no choice beside it that Allah Almighty should be accepted as Lord of everything.

The same subject has been discussed in this verse. Allah Almighty commands to His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) that He should say: There is none visible Lord (the Supplier of the means of subsistence) of this world other than Allah Almighty. Therefore, it is necessary that I should accept Him as My Lord and beg too before Him to provide Me everything which I need.

Those people, who bow before any other than Allah Almighty, are deceived and ignorant. The Rope of Allah Almighty should not be loosened after coming into their deception. No one will be useful for anyone in the Hereafter. Every laden have been bearing his/her own load of sins/evil-deeds. How will they bear the load of others?

I have been informed very clearly that none can be responsible, recommendatory or laden of any other person. Every individual is responsible of own wicked-deeds and acts, so he/she will attend the Court of Allah Almighty bearing his/her load him/herself. Then He will describe to every individual: who was right and who was wrong? Who deserves reward and who deserves punishment.

We knew from it that any evil-deed or sin should never be committed due to seducing by any person because its misfortune will be on the head of the evildoer, whereas that person, who seduced, will be involved in own calamity. How will he save others? It should be remembered that no one will be able to support any other on the Day of Resurrection. It is perpetual Rule of that place, “As you sow so you shall reap”.

Commentary

It has already been mentioned that Allah Almighty has set the way to live in this world, worldwide for the human beings. The name of that way is Diini Qayyam or Siraatum-Mustaqiim (the Straight Path). The individual, who will turn away from this Path, certainly he would be ruined. Allah Almighty sent His Messengers and Prophets (peace be upon Them) from time to time for guidance towards this Path and They used to instruct the people for those matters, which were necessary during their periods for standing on the Religion with regard to their times.

As long the life was simple, the law was simple too. But when the population increased and the problems of life became more complex gradually, the law of the religion became more complicated also. Even the time of Messenger Moses (peace be upon Him) came and He brought Torah, in which the Instructions were mentioned in detail.

At the end, the Messenger of the last time, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) came in the world with the last Scripture i.e. Holy Qur’aan. In this Word, the entire Rules, Regulations and Instructions of life were collected for the entire mankind. And it was commanded: You should recognize the True and the False by using your sense in Its Light and go on the Straight Path, which has been explained in It.

The name of that Path is “the Religion” and the name of that Code is Millat Islam (Religious Belief in Islam). Summary of Islam has been described in this verse. It is commanded: O Our Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him)! These idolaters, worshippers of fire and imagination, and the slaves of their desires (the infidels and polytheists etc.) produce their own ways separately before you. Say to them! I explain before you the Commandment, which has been revealed unto Me. Allah Almighty has sent Me in this world for guidance towards this very Path, and I am ready with My perfect Belief to act upon It in front of you. I shall never move even a little hither or thither from It. I have come to tell you about It and cause to learn you the method of acting upon It. I have been ordered that I should say to you: My worship, sacrifice, offering, prayer, living and dying are only for Allah Almighty, Who is The Creator and The Lord of the entire Worlds. Neither there is anyone equal to Him and nor is any partner of Him in Power and Sovereignty. I have been commanded to do this and I am first of all those who surrender unto Him and obey His Commands.

It is known from this lesson that the Foundation of Islam is “Believing in the Oneness of the Deity (God Almighty)”. And it means that worship of every kind should be done only of Allah Almighty like “devotion, sacrifice, vow, prayer, proclamation of humble, fasting, alms-giving and pilgrimage etc. No one should be made a partner with Him in these matters. Besides this, entire deeds of life should be performed according to His Commandments. None should be obeyed except Him, but that person only, for whom He commanded. Do that, which He ordered and permitted to do, but stop that, for which He has prohibited. It is the Religion Islam.
