Quran Chapter 5- 54 (Pt-6, Stg-2) (L-701) - درس قرآن

Islam is a human Religion

Surah MAAA-‘IDAH (The Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

54a.  O ye who believe! Whoso of you becometh a renegade from his religion, then (in their place) Allah will bring a people whom He loveth and who love Him, humble toward believers, stern toward disbelievers, striving in the Way of Allah, and fearing not the blame of any blamer.
54a.  Yaaa-  ‘ayyu-hallaziina  ‘aamanuu  many-yar-tadda  minkum  ‘an-  Diinihii  fa-sawfa  ya’-TIllaahu-  bi-qawminy-Yu-hibbuhum  wa  yuhib-buunaHuuu,  ‘azillatin  ‘alal-  Mu’-miniina  ‘a-‘izzatin  ‘alal-  Kaafiriina,  yujaa-hiduuna  fii  SabiiLIllaahi  wa  laa  yakhaa-fuuna  law-mata  laaa-‘im.

Commentary

‘Irti-daad – (rejecting), this word is from Radd, which means “rejection, to return, vomit”. Murtad means renegade, an apostate from a religious faith, deserter. Such a person, who rejects or turns away from Islam after embracing, is called Murtad. It has been derived from the word “’Irtadaad”.

‘Azillatin – (humble, to bring low, to make submissive), it is plural of zaliil, which has been made from zillatZillat means “softness, delicacy, tenderness, slackness, looseness, clumsiness.

‘A-‘izzatin – (stern, austere, harsh, cruel), it is plural of ‘Aziiz, which is from ‘izzat‘Izzat means “extremely plainness, severity, and harshness”.

Law-mata (blame, to find fault with, to censure, imputation of a crime), Laaa-‘im has also been derived from it, which means “the blamer”.

It was described earlier that the persons, who associate with other than believers, there is a risk for them that the disbelievers will cause to incline them towards themselves by showing their outward kindness, pomp and show, and they may be renegade from Islam, due to feeling it apparently in a weak condition. Today it has been narrated very clearly, “Islam is not your indigent to remain in the world, but actually, you are needy of Islam for living a good life. If anyone of you becomes a renegade from his religion, he cannot spoil anything of Islam. Allah Almighty gives validity to Islam that it would have to remain in the world and He will keep it up. However if you will be renegade, then (in your place) Allah Almighty will bring a people whom He loves and who love Him, who are humble toward believers, stern toward disbelievers (the enemies of the humanity), striving in His Way, and fearing not the blame of any blamer.
